As 2016 is coming to an end it is closing the first (year) chapter of THE STYLE SMITH being my full time job. Which means I have now officially spent a whole year working for myself! There are a few truths I have found to be very… well…true for this 20 something working for herself. One being you will in fact spend a lot of time working on your tech gadgets from home, especially when your work/life is on social media. This should and sometimes does mean it will be from your well set up and pinterest inspired home office. However more times than not it can also mean from an awkward lying position on your couch or from the very professional desk you have created for yourself in… bed.
This awkward week that we find ourselves in now between Christmas and New Year means many have holidays – however for those working for themselves it never stops. So I tried to make this week as casual and relaxing as possible which means the “bed desk” became an all too regular occurrence. I’m usually surrounded by 10 tech gadgets all at once but this week I’ve been using the ASUS UX360UA ZenBook Flip which has made my life far more streamlined and simple. Having the two in one is a big bonus for me as far too often I’ve found myself needing an image that is on my laptop but I only have my tablet with me or visa versa. It’s also super lightweight weighing in at 1.3kg and just 13.9mm thin which makes it very portable, meaning I’m able to take it to from my home office to meetings without breaking my back. Also I’m not going to lie – pulling this pretty little guy out at business meetings makes me feel oh-so professional and dare I say a little fancy as it really does look like a luxury item, especially since it’s donning the signature spun-metal ZenBook finish ASUS has become all too well known for. Another thing ASUS do very well in this ZenBook Flip is the audio system, known as the SonicMaster. ASUS co-designed this system with the audio experts Harman Kardon, so you know it’s going to be good. The one last thing I think makes the ASUS ZenBook Flip shine bright above the rest is that it has a 12 hour battery life… yes you read that correct…12 hours #batterylyfgoals.
