New Zealand has always been on my list… you all know the list I’m referring to.. we all have one.. it’s kept at the back of our mind and full of places that need to be visited and ticked off.
If New Zealand is on yours and like myself you’re an Aussie you really have no excuse not to visit. The flight from Melbourne to Queenstown is a quick 3hrs 15mins. That’s faster than a lot of places still in Australia and if you’re lucky enough to visit the South Island in Winter the view you get from the plane on arrival in itself is well worth the trip.
Although I only visited Queenstown and now feel the need to go back, hire an RV and do the rest of NZ, I feel like I got quite a good taste of the NZ lifestyle. In the few short days I was there I skied at The Remarkables and Cardrona, tried to demolish a Fergburger, visited the quaint little old town of Arrowtown, won a game of Frisbee golf and bought some fudge from the world famous sweetshop. A pretty good first effort if I do say so myself.
