Don’t you love when you book a hotel on a whim last minute and only upon arrival do you realize just how good it actually is? Ahhh it’s a satisfying feeling and I definitely had it when I checked into The Primus Hotel Sydney.
LOCATION: 339 Pitt St, Sydney NSW 2000
As I’m no expert on Sydney I was unaware that Pitt Street is pretty much the perfect location if you are looking to stay centrally in the city and do a little shopping while there… and who isn’t. Only minutes walk to Pitts Street Mall (should have been my first clue), Westfield, Myer and David Jones the options are endless.
The Primus Hotel Sydney’s impressive lobby is large in size with its sky-high ceilings and is inspired by the Art deco era. With the geometric interiors having accents of velvet and brass it still feels warm and inviting… enough so that you will feel compelled to sit and have a cocktail… Especially once you see that all their martinis are made with dry ice, which makes for a very theatrical happy hour.
One of my favourite parts of staying in hotels is the buffet breakfast! It’s a guilty pleasure you don’t often get to indulge in at home. There is nothing better than waking up fresh and ready for the day… heading downstairs and enjoying one of everything on offer and leaving an hour later… absolutely hating yourself… completely regretting every decision you’ve made up to this point. Then just when you’re feeling a bit better the next morning going and doing it all over again… It’s a vicious cycle but I’m definitely not changing anytime soon.
Back in the room with cloud like beds and a pillow menu to select your perfect head rest you are bound to have a five star sleep.
The Style Smith was a guest of the Primus Hotel Sydney however my opinion is always my own.
